Who You Are

We are seeking a proactive HR Coordinator who is passionate about  contributing to the culture and success of our dynamic team in Riyadh. In this role, you'll play a central part in our People Team, providing essential HR support to ensure seamless operations and employee satisfaction. Your responsibilities will span from recruitment assistance to employee engagement initiatives, all while maintaining compliance with regulations and promoting our values. We're looking for someone with excellent communication skills, a keen eye for detail, a love of learning, and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. In this role, you will:

  • Support with recruitment process, including candidate sourcing and initial interviews.

  • Support on employer branding projects to attract high-quality applicants.

  • Assist in identifying training needs, coordinating workshops, and other professional development activities.

  • Collaborate with managers and the Head of People to facilitate performance evaluation processes.

  • Ensure all government portals including GOSI, Qiwa, and Mudad are fully up to date and in compliance with government regulations.

  • Act as a point of contact for team members, resolving issues promptly and acting as a representative of the People team.

  • Advocate and model the AstroLab's culture, values, and behaviors at all times. Guide and inspire others to do the same.

  • Implement and coordinate initiatives to increase employee engagement, such as recognition programs, team-building events, or employee feedback sessions.

  • Maintain and update HR databases and systems while ensuring data accuracy.

  • Provide general administrative support to the People Team, including but not limited to, document preparation, scheduling meetings, and coordinating HR events.

  • Support the Head of People on projects related to recruitment, talent acquisition, candidate engagement, and employee experience.

A Day in the Life

Imagine starting your day by reviewing the latest applications received for our open positions, sourcing candidates, and scheduling initial interviews. You then collaborate with the marketing team on employer branding projects, brainstorming strategies to attract top talent to our organization. Throughout the day, you liaise with managers to identify training needs and coordinate professional development workshops to enhance employee skills and performance.

As the point of contact for HR-related inquiries, you address team members' concerns promptly, ensuring a positive employee experience. You may take initiative by recommend a way to recognize a team member's achievement, or contribute to a workshop on customer experience. You spend the afternoon meeting with a group of new joiners to check in on how they're settling in and help answer questions they have about our ways of working and training resources. Finally you close the day answering emails and closing the loop on administrative tasks, getting feedback you need to keep developing your own skills as a future HR and People leader.

Job requirements

Your Technical Skills:

  • You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills (both verbal and written in Arabic and English)

  • You demonstrate great attention to detail.

  • You have strong prioritization, time management, and organizational skills.

  • You’re able to work independently and escalate any issues to the Head of People swiftly and effectively.

  • You're a natural “people person” with drive, enthusiasm and a serious “make it happen” attitude.

  • You have previous experience in G-Suite (Sheets, Docs, Slides).

Your Key Qualifications

  • You have a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Management, English/Linguistics, or a related field.

  • You have previous 1-2 years experience in HR, customer service, operations, or similar.

  • You’re comfortable communicating in English with non-Arabic speaking employees.

  • You’re ambitious, curious, and enjoy working independently and with a team.

  • You have a passion for getting things done and finding solutions.

  • You’re able to demonstrate integrity, dependability, ownership, accountability, self-awareness, work ethic, and empathy.
